3/3 Going forward, we recognize our collective responsibility to learn about Indigenous cultures, to be aware of issues specific to Indigenous communities, and to be open-minded in the ongoing journey of Truth, Reconciliation, and Self-Determination.
2/3 We strive to empower all learners, to embrace all means of communication & all languages, including Indigenous Sign Languages. We are thankful to be located on the unceded territories of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Squamish, səlilwətaɬ Tsleil-Waututh, & xwməθkwəýəm Musqueam Nations.
1/3 On this day, we reflect upon the wrongdoings of the residential school system and decades of systemic racism against Indigenous peoples by a colonial society. ACE-BC is committed to being an inclusive community. Our core values are equity, diversity, access, and inclusion.
