The greatest thing I learnt and I’ve practiced in my adult life is refusing disrespect and listening to Chimamanda Adichie literally quote this on her interview with Trevor brought the decision to life “if there’s disrespect, I won’t take it”.

I love doing nothing with my husband! I don’t know if it has a term, just spending time together in same place, talk or play once in a while but just chilling. It’s easily my favorite thing to do with him!

2. My parents allow us to express our emotions when we were/are angry with them. So if either parent had done something to make you feel sad, always feel free to let them know but in a respectful way. They also shielded us from a lot of reality till they felt we were old enough

happened and maybe one of us is crying, my dad would always say “You can cry later but first use your words” what happened? My dad or my mom would always insist on hearing our part no matter how bad the situation was and this has helped & impacted me as an adult.
