رئیس پایگاه پنجم پولیس آگاهی تهران اعلام کرده که تعدادی از ماموران قلابی را بازداشت کرده که از «اتباع غیرمجاز [افغان‌ها] و کسبه اخاذی می‌کردند.» به گفته رضا حاتمی علاوه بر سرقت کارت بانکی، این افراد موبایل، طلا و سایر اشیای با ارزش مردم را هم می‌دزدیدند.
