if your friend starts talking about his pain, don’t tell him to just man up and endure. yes, we need to suck it up when we’re hurting, but telling your friend to stop crying because of pain won’t help at all.

you gotta stop listening to people talk about what or how you should feel. feel things as how you’re supposed to. the only validation you need comes from you and not from somebody else.
