Whether you support or oppose public dollars to private schools, to me the bigger issue is the end around done by Linehan and approved yesterday. - The citizens followed the rules - We got the signatures - We were supposed to vote on this - The #neleg said, "Nope." We want a say
@AngieLauritsen The majority of the Nebraska Legislature has shown time & time again on this issue as well as others, that they do not listen nor care about you nor the will of their constituent.
@AngieLauritsen I assume they'll be eliminating taxes then?? What's that ole phrase? No taxation....
@AngieLauritsen I don't disagree but; why don't people put all that hard work into fixing failing schools?
@AngieLauritsen Sad when a so called leader does this to people who have the right vote on this subject.
@AngieLauritsen The same things happen here in South Dakota. I'm absolutely against public dollars for private schools here in South Dakota. We need to pay our teachers better so they enjoy teaching our children instead of babysitting them. New teachers are honest brokers until they see the pay.
@AngieLauritsen We also sign petitions & get things passed on the ballot only to have the legislature & governor tell us we didn't know what we were voting for. As in, they know better than we do. They actually cry freedom but take rights away. I don't know where you stand, but I wish you luck.
@AngieLauritsen Should have stood up when they did the same thing to the proponents of medical marijuana. This state is already authoritarian. It's why all the young people leave.
