and in today's 2-phase commit implementation adventures: we introduce a "READ COMMITTED"-eqsue level (datastore still in-memory). This demo writes a bunch of data, demonstrating the read isolation, and towards the end crashes a node in the middle of a transaction (sound warning)
so it turns out that the canonical 2-phase commit protocol has no way of recovering across the database nodes if one of the nodes dies during the commit process. If a DB node dies during the prepare phase, the coordinator can rollback; but only if it dies then, and not after!

a small demo of the 2-phase commit implementation so far (audio warning) the service discovery node starts. the coordinator starts, then clients start and register themselves Finally, after a delay of 10s, the coordinator queries svc discovery for clients, and pings both on /ping
