The other day my professor went around the room asking what our names were. When I said my name, he asked “With an ‘e’ or without an ‘e?’” I said without. And then I realized that that was the first time in my 20 years of being that someone has ever asked me that. #shook

Sometimes I think about that time in high school in my AP Gov't class when our teacher showed us a chart that had bars for white, black, latino, and other and a girl in the back shouts out "What's other??" because she didn't realize there was more than three races in existence.

Today in my victims class my Professor said, “Alcohol does not change a person, alcohol knocks down a wall and shows you who someone really is and what they’re feeling because they can’t control the filter they usually have” and THAT made a lot of sense
