I’ve had a bit of a rough time at work recently. I’ve dealt with too many jobs involving death and sadness for my liking Felt like I needed a break, tried to get some AL and it has been declined because of MSL. How are we ever meant to get leave if we’re always below MSL? 🙁

So frustrating when old sweats moan and try to get out of constants because they think they’re too good to do them. Last time I checked, we’re all part of a response team so it does very much come under your job description 🙃

Last night was my last night shift and I didn’t leave work until 1030 this morning. Yes, I’ll get my 4hrs pay but I am absolutely ruined 😴

Feeling very lucky to be as supported as I am. I’ve had to go to my skipper with a few work related issues and his first questions are generally “how is this making you feel?” and “what can we do to resolve this so you don’t feel like that?”

Someone very special to me died last year, unexpectedly. I’ve just been sent a video of me and them from when I was a kid that I a) don’t remember and b) haven’t seen before. It’s made me incredibly emotional. Hug your loved ones.

I’m off work now until after Christmas. It’s been a stressful few months, so my partner and I decided to do a thing. We’ve gone away for a few days for some sun and this was our view coming in to land yesterday.
