My daughter has been interested in rocks and minerals (and I have gotten into mineral collecting myself), so I decided to do some crystal growing at home as a fun educational experiment. Currently 1 week into this copper crystal, at 40mA, 0.5V in a 50g/L copper sulfate solution.

Been working on getting the new ILIS tank prototype assembly figured out with a mesh liner. Now that I've got something plausible, I've begun a new fueling/degassing operation with a new emitter and the mesh liner. Aiming for a new thruster test this week, updates to come soon!

Our first satellite, Hatchling Veery (AKA v0.1 or Clay) ended its mission as a shooting star last Wednesday (3/20), days before its 3rd birthday. In that time, Hatchling flew 750,000,000 km and phoned home 3,865 times to tell us how he was doing. x.com/careweather/st…
