After 208 visits to the Grantchester Meadows patch, finally a rarity and a stonking male Bluethroat at that. Myself & @Joeparham19 were left in a stunned silence as we clapped eyes onto it, before it then sadly disappeared not to be reseen. Spring, patch birding, yes pleaseee...

@ArjunDutta230 @Joeparham19 @CambsBirdClub @BirdGuides If you had gone for the Beddington bird you would have missed it! #consolationPrize
@ArjunDutta230 @Joeparham19 @CambsBirdClub @BirdGuides Great stuff, Arjun! For the record, 208 visits isn't too long to have to wait for a bird of that magnitude – it took me 1,560 complete lists to get a passerine of comparable rarity (Little Bunting) at the #NunneryLakes 😂
@ArjunDutta230 @Joeparham19 @CambsBirdClub @BirdGuides Well done Arjun!
@ArjunDutta230 @Joeparham19 @CambsBirdClub @BirdGuides White spotted I presume?!
@ArjunDutta230 @Joeparham19 @CambsBirdClub @BirdGuides Congratulations both - fantastic bird to see and find! 😀👍 Working the patch pays
@ArjunDutta230 Great find. I saw one at Selsey Bill on my first proper birding trip, aged 11. Haven't seen one since! I hope it makes up for missing out on the Beddington Woodchat. 🤔
@ArjunDutta230 @Joeparham19 @CambsBirdClub @BirdGuides Great find, top birds!
@ArjunDutta230 @Joeparham19 @CambsBirdClub @BirdGuides Awesome find! Congratulations
