How do refactor a code base when client requests take priority and you try to explain that if we don’t address some architectural issue now it will become a problem later? Do you try to address as part of the requirement or is it best to allocate some time to it?

The more I work as a Frontend Engineer the more I realise the importance of having problem solving skills in the context of software engineering. This role is much more than HTML and CSS as it was maybe 10 years ago... There is so much to learn and many resources to do so. 🥰

I have been struggling to find an app or a software to build (as a side project) that has purpose and convince me that is worth investing the time in it. I will find it because to build something that other people will use to fulfil their need it would make me happy 🤓🙂

How would you refactor a frontend code base to make it more modular? 1) make sure that functionality is covered by unit tests 2) brake components down by following a strategy (I like atom design architecture for the UI) 3) use storybook
