It's obvious that Godzilla was birthed or awakened from mankind's dangerous scientific endeavors. Without humans, there is no Godzilla, and without Godzilla, there is nothing to reflect on concerning those human faults.
You don't need to make everything realistic and gritty, especially when it was never that in the first place. Just say you want to appropriate things so that you can like them without understanding what makes the originals charming. It's Tokusatsu. Let it be fun and zany.

I mean, it's Adam Wingard. He did the Netflix Death Note and that was a pretty awful adaptation. I still don't expect this Godzilla vs Kong movie to be any more than explosive fight scenes. For some, that's all it takes to satisfy them and that's fine I guess.
I'm not going to get my hopes up if the director of Netflix's Death Note is going to be directing the Kong vs Godzilla movie. That Death Note was terrible. It showed the makers had no idea what made the original a classic, resulting in garbage. That doesn't bode well for KvG.

Parents are the ones who should strive to be the role models for their kids, not characters in movies. If they teach them what's right and wrong, then there's no film, game, song, or book that can turn them into a bad person. It starts with YOUR monitoring.
A movie should just be good on its own merits. Political statements are just statements, not compelling pieces of story or good character writing.
