We will not solve housing shortages due to lack of labour while construction remains such a low % of our skilled intake, and while hospitality roles such as 'Chefs' & 'Cafe Managers' continue to top the list of skilled visas granted. The 'skills' list needs culling.

This is a chart of Australia's working age population over the last 15 years. The so called "catch up" to the pre-Covid trend was complete by Q1 2023. The growth since has been a major departure from the longer term trend.
