There have been remakes of TV and movies in recent years but most have done quite badly. Dynasty/Dallas and Macgyver and others. Talks of remakes of A-Team too but maybe people realise that the original is rather difficult to match.

Maths Trivia : if you increase a number by any % and decrease it by the same %, the result number will always be smaller than the original. Crucially, if you decrease the number first then increase it, same outcome, eg 1000 becomes 990 with a change of 10%.
