Next 48 hrs - STORM. Expecting two incoming coronal mass ejections ( CME ) from two filament eruptions over the last weekend. These predicted to arrive later today or early on 16. STORM periods are likely to follow.

Next 24 hrs: Increased chance of seeing the aurora during 31 Dec-01 Jan due to enhanced geomagnetic conditions caused by two possible CME arrivals. Assuming clear, dark skies, those in Scotland, northern England and Northern Ireland have the best chance. Happy New Year!

Next 72 hrs: Increased chance of seeing the aurora, due to increase geomagnetic caused by anticipated CME arrivals on the evenings of the 4th and 5th of October. Those in Scotland, northern England and Northern Ireland have a better chance assuming clear dark skies.

Next 24hrs: Increased chance of seeing aurora later (16th September) due to increased geomagnetic activity caused by possible arrival of CME associated with X4.5 flare on 14th. Those in the northern part of the UK have a better chance, assuming the skies remain clear of course!

Next 48hrs: increased chance of seeing the aurora due to enhanced geomagnetic activity caused CME arrivals. Assuming clear, dark skies, there is a chance of seeing the aurora during 12th – 14th Sept. Those in Scotland, northern England and Northern Ireland have a better chance.

Next 72hrs. Increased chance of seeing the aurora due to increased activity caused by the arrival of a CME mid-day (UT) 17 August. Given the likely time of arrival perhaps not the best opportunity for observers in the UK unless we observe a delay in the arrival.

Next 24hrs increased chance of seeing the aurora due to increased activity caused by the arrival of two CMEs in the early hours of the 31st. Given the likely time of arrival combined with these bright summer nights perhaps not the best opportunity for observers in the UK.
