The Washington State House Committee today voted to amend the clergy reporting bill to add the word “elder” & remove clergy-penitent privilege as an exception for not reporting child sex abuse! Thank you Rep. Taylor for introducing the amendment! Now to the House floor to vote!

Washington State House committee just voted to pass out of committee SB 5280 WITH an amendment to add "elder" to the language and remove the confession exemption to mandate clergy reporting of child abuse! WA is closing the loopholes! Let get this into law!

In reading through the charging documents from the PA AG office of the 5 JW men indicted for CSA- 1 of survivors was abused by an elder, & later at 15 was the target of romantic interest from a 30yo, which the congregation approved of & was SA by him. Kids are not protected!

Very interesting article focusing on one of Watchtower's primary paid apologists. How do you think R&F JWs would like being defended by the guy who defends the Moonies, FLDS, & Scientologists, if they knew? One day the receipts will be found.
