How is the @goodreads search function so bad? Why does a search for "House on the Cerulean" turn up THIS, but doesn't manage to figure out "Do you mean House IN the Cerulean Sea?" Is #BadSearchResults a thing? #ImFranklyEmbarassedForYou #YouveHadYears
I don’t understand how @goodreads search algorithm works. Why do I have to scroll down to find a book with the title I want?

.@goodreads search algorithm is such absolute trash that typing in the EXACT title of a book brought up all the study guides, but not the book itself Because of course, I want the study guide provided by "bookrags" and not the actual book written by Anthony Bourdain himself

Why is the search function on @goodreads so consistently terrible??? A Black Woman's History of the United States didn't come up as an option until I got to the e in States.

whoa I did not expect this to gain any traction but I also forgot to mention you can import your goodreads data! The only thing I don't like is that the search function can be wonky sometimes
while #goodreads is trending, as a librarian, I am here to beg you to get a storygraph account -fractional star ratings -genre, mood, tone (STATS) -mark DNF option -nicer design -not owned by amazon (Black woman owned/founded)

The @goodreads mobile app is ridiculous. A product with the weight of @amazon behind it shouldn't be this clumsy. Then again, it's 2021 and Amazon's website STILL doesn't automatically place the cursor in their product search bar.

Truly hate how archaic Goodreads browsing system is, like maaaaaan, why can't I browse a book's edition through language or search stuff by publishers? Who designed this? The fact that they also don't have something as common as a dark mode is also face-palming 🤨
