@Baheet_ goated article bro, i hope them anons screaming prediction markets for weeks now can see this
@Baheet_ @DeFiScribbler good read about prediction market here!
@Baheet_ whoever nails the UX shift in a new narrative always wins prediction markets simplify the biggest use case of crypto: trading + speculation but we need proper apps that work, simple UX, clean UI and no crypto jargon this has more onboarding power than anything else in crypto
@Baheet_ climate forecasting doesn't seem to be that sexy of a topic for the layman
@Baheet_ nice article ser, looks like the PM landscape is shaping up real fast too lately haha
Firstly I think the first hindrance to PMs adoption is complexity as you’ve said… Different markets, complex interfaces even for some of us crypto natives However currently in terms of niches most PMs these days have they’ve done well expanding, just like footballdotfun and co. I also found out during my research on Polymarket that you can bet on entertainment as well such as “Taylor swift being on billboard top100” and that’s solid for non-crypto guys Overall solid one here Baheet
@Baheet_ This is a solid take.... For... Me @Polymarket market has a complete structural flow That any project can learn from and get to mainstream.. when you keep betson very easy and solid questions you get massive interest.. That's a good one
@Baheet_ Another flaw to add: gatekeeping & liquidity fragmentation. -ve for me if a team has to decide what market goes in and not, and for the second if a platform is decentralized frag liquidity can make markets insufficient, limiting participation. tldr @opinionlabsxyz, a ++
Goated article, bro. Despite how hard I researched about prediction markets, I didn't see it from this angle. The part where you say using AI for automation, which is beneficial to both users and the platform, is a great idea. But how will automation through AI ensures betting that align with users intent since it'll be automated?
Finally came around reading this Prediction markets rn are a big topic on CT but I share that it's just here, and not exactly beyond coz of limitations. And also, introducing it from outside of here will help drive home the larger Usecase you mentioned in this article. PS: popups educating about anything in-app would be really annoying, NGL. Heh. Beautiful article here, Baheet.
@Baheet_ Wouldn’t you say @Polymarket was mainstream for a stretch during the US elections? Your points about better on-ramps, UX, and a mobile app are the paths to consistency. If polymarket nails that I don’t see how they couldn’t contend with the top sports betting apps
