Working on a couple of shorts as kinda "dependencies" for my first beginners game series (w/ JS/Canvas). So far we have acquiring and using VSCode, the Chrome developer console and HTML Boilerplate code and what it all does, anything else people think is necessary to know first?

And we have a working game, not happy with the text overlay, doesn't suit the #pixelart aesthetic, the ammo text isn't readable enough, and I need to add powerup/ammo functionality. But! the basics are done, certainly enough for the first few parts of the video series. #gamedev
