Posted to a 75K targeted audience group. Algo showed it to... 200 peoples🙃 Results: 50 visits, 0 signups, 1 existential crisis. But it's not that terrible, 20% came back today. Retention is good, does that mean the product is okay, but not the pitch ? Time to test "daily…

My brain building: Brain: "31 subscribers! We're growing!" Also brain: "Only 31 users..." Brain: "Focus on retention!" Also brain: "But what about that new feature idea?"
Week offline taught me more about my users than weeks of analytics. Distance = clarity when building emotional products.
Active user: "I'd never pay for this" Same user: "I'd hate if it disappeared" The emotional product paradox. They love it but won't fund it. Shipping new collection for Gachari today anyway. Sometimes you build for love, not logic.
Turned off X from for a long weekend. The algorithm didn't miss me. My users didn't leave. But I came back with 10 ideas I'd never have found in the feed. Sometimes growth means stepping back.

Weird realization: I'm more excited about 1 person using my app daily than I was about landing my corporate job.
