Accountability for unrepentant injustice does not = “cancel culture.”
@BerniceKing It does when people are hunted down and collectively punished and ostracized from greater society. Wait a minute. That sounds a lot like an inquisition to remove the undesirables because they are offensive and a threat to your religion.
@BerniceKing It is when an angry mob is judge, jury, and executioner. There's no process, there's no presumption of innocence, the same activists who decide what deserves "accountability" also decide who's guilty and impose the punishments.
@BerniceKing Cancel culture = maoism very similar ideologies
@BerniceKing There's a severe problem with your logic: You are not the law.
@BerniceKing Didn’t know telling jokes as a comedian was “unrepentant injustice”
@BerniceKing People who arrogantly believe their view is correct, and hate alternative points of view = “cancel culture”.
@BerniceKing And racism should be canceled! Anyone that disagrees is, well, racist.
@BerniceKing @AJAsh Cancel culture does not = anything helpful at all at this point
@BerniceKing But just remember That's not the same as "Holding something against someone they said years or even decades prior"
@BerniceKing “Cancel culture” is also actually a free market at work. No one is legislating these moves. They’re simply being decided by a free market. It’s funny how “free marketers” only like when it works in their favour.
@BerniceKing Cancel culture is being so misused. This was not "cancel culture ". The teen Vogue editor was a victim of cancel culture. This is the MLB protecting their brand at this point.
@BerniceKing State Voter Suppression laws enacted because the @GOP decided to nullify the franchise for those it expects to vote for its opponents = the ultimate cancel culture. #StopVoterSuppression
@BerniceKing The problem is that you hold people accountable for things they did countless years ago before they changed. Isn't that why you cancelled Dr. Seus?
@BerniceKing People are canceling everything but stupidity and racism
@BerniceKing Accountability is d i f f e r e n t What I personally see as cancel culture is when things turn from asking accountability, and harassing someone, wishing terrible things on them. Stuff like that
@BerniceKing Vigilante justice = wrong way, whether it’s with guns or stones or words.
@BerniceKing Have repeatedly stressed this Sista ✊🏾. "Cancel culture" is just their way of weaponizing accountability. 💯
@BerniceKing the definition of "unrepentant injustice" being key here...
@BerniceKing Right. Consequences. Like those for Jimmy Fallon, Andrew Cuomo, etc. 🤔
@BerniceKing @ShannonRowell12 and just in general 😬😬😬
@BerniceKing Removing public symbols of hate ≠ cancel culture
@BerniceKing Sorry ,ma´am,but as a foreigner I don´t grasp some words or the sense of some sentences,so I prefer not to say a nonsense. And I´m getting asleep. Here is 1.00am. what I can say is that I admire you because you´re a woman with a lot of energy and very determined!
@BerniceKing I agree 100%. That said I think we need to be careful as we could end up hurting those we are trying most to help. We need to address this voter law and make sure every person has a voice while not causing more poverty and job loss.
@BerniceKing Yes it does, that’s literally the definition of cancel culture
@BerniceKing We cancel their racism !
@BerniceKing No canceling a syrup bottle is cancel culture
@BerniceKing I Agree, We Must Hold People Responsible For Their Actions!
