Thought: Using "Human" -made or to be "pro-Human" in a post AI age is mostly a detriment. Capital and AI together mix up a chemical reaction which breeds misanthropy to a sistemic level. A new vocabulary is needed. We are autopoiesis, qualia. AI is allopoiesis, quanta.

@gunsnrosesgirl3 When you know it's real, you might have an emotional response to it. When you can't be sure, especially when it's pretending to be real, you will keep your emotions locked behind the closed gates of your doubt. In other words: if GenAI adds anything to our world, it is apathy.

@ednewtonrex This is the exact same strategy as Facebook is employing: they have "partner programs" that reward people money based on engagement. Turns out, AI image slop counts as engagement. When confronted about it, Facebook spokespeople said the incentive system is working as intended.

Nice piece by Gary here, a lot of AI folks have called for regulation then opposed absolutely everything proposed, and instead wanted legislation to prevent future existential threats. It feels like accountability is something many AI folks don’t want.
