If you're noticing a lot of LGBTQIA+ & especially trans people, are depressed or stressed out lately. It's because we're tired and fearful. In the UK, terfs want us dead. In the US, it's already happening out in the open. It's pretty scary what's happening atm.

So I had an interesting habit when I worked at BioWare. The day after we finished making a game I'd always throw together a quick video envisioning what it would be like if our characters would just kiss and make up. I'd need to find the Dragon Age version again.

I don't think the UK media's transphobia crisis can really be viewed separately from the cost of living crisis; they want people to be outraged and angry at a designated scapegoat instead of those responsible. That's how we get days of coverage for banal nontroversies

If you are straight and cisgendered, over the next few years you may start seeing and hearing LGBTQ people a lot less. It may be very gradual and subtle, and therefore hard for you to notice. So, I'm going to say now, while you can still see and hear me- this was deliberate.

You could also stop constant crunch, high turnover, underpaying your employees and making people quit the industry altogether. But hey, dropping a coin on good org and putting that on socials is easier. No actual effort is needed. #gamedev
