Think-Pair-Square-Share is like a multi course meal at a wedding. Eat too many appetizers you’re too full for next course. Dwell too long on any part of the routine students get bored on the topic. Gotta stay hungry until the last course. #teaching #education #mathed

Mixed feelings about the term "ethnomathematics". Sometimes it's used to highlight contributions to math culture. But sometimes I've seen it used (maybe unintentionally) to other the mathematicians and cultures that made those contributions. #mtbos #mathhistory

I think presentations or slides should be created with the idea of low floor and high ceiling similar to good math problems. Better to avoid slides with a wall of text but provide space for participants to access that information as needed. #mtbos #goodpresentations #walloftext

Wish climbing at Olympics didn’t lump three different disciplines into one. For example, I counted around 15 different men’s running events each with a medal and each with different training demands. Similar for swimming. #olympics
