Made up that I passed GCIH today! A hell of a lot of work but I learnt so much and enjoyed it (well at least the passing part!). After trying to fit in revision with a manic job, lock down, 2 kids at home and generally busy life I feel like never taking an exam again! Ha ha.

Might be missing something here, but just looks like they forgot to do the dpia. The govt are a shambles for a lot of things but this seems to be no biggy to me 🤷‍♂️.

I learned a lot tonight. This is what dev tools tells me in Edge by just visiting eBay. The website is port scanning my laptop, bypassing my firewall, and doing it in/from the browser. It checked 14 ports. Let's discuss. 1/5

Today I spent over 2 hours arranging one to ones with the 20+ members of my teams that fitted in with their shift patterns. Those first few weeks at a new job are so much fun........

So tomorrow is my last day at the Coop as Threat and Vul manager. Sad to be leaving a great security team but amazing opportunity to manage a great SOC team helping lots of orgs fight the fight 🤗. Thanks to everyone I worked with, its been a pleasure.

I was a security consultant with IBM and I'd agree with most of this. But there are positives, you learn a lot in a short space of time and it can be a huge boost to your career. I finished after 14 months, not sure I could have done years of it.
