We often hear about lessons learned from COVID & the degree to which we are prepared for the next pandemic. The answer is painfully clear; we are not where we need to be. H5N1 has epidemic/pandemic potential & is spreading in plain sight under our nose (US dairy farms) with a lacklustre response. While there is now significant improvement in the response in recent days, speed/transparency/action is is key, and we did not see that upfront. "Lessons learned" are only as good as the action we take from them.
@BogochIsaac We did learn how many con artists & unethical people are in medicine. We learned most doctors will tear up the Hippocratic Oath for a few scraps from Pfizer’s table, that they will lie to their patients and put them at risk for injury & death just to keep their jobs & licenses
@BogochIsaac Dr. I am so tired of your endless pharmaceutical preaching. You are one of the reasons I no longer watch, or pay for, cable t.v.
@BogochIsaac Sir, you are currently on minute 33 of your 15 minutes of fame. You are the very reason why people will never trust doctors ever again. Your attempt to reignite a pandemic is pathetic. Even Wayne Gretzky knew when it was time to walk away. Please do the same.
@BogochIsaac Can you tell us how many people have become clinically ill from H5N1, Isaac? How does this have pandemic potential? Has live virus been found in pasteurized milk? Is that a likely route for infection in humans?
@BogochIsaac We learned that we can't trust the media. We learned that our politicians think we're stupid. We learned that the "experts" are idealogues. We learned that big pharma calls the shots. We learned that our institutions are morally bankrupt.
@BogochIsaac Don't worry--big pharma has a vaccine ready to go and you know the mask-wearing covidians will be lined up around the block to get it. The rest of us will avoid it like the plague as we know it will be as dangerous as the covid vaccine was.
@BogochIsaac The only thing I learned is that the economy the only thing that matters to those in charge. COVID clearly demonstrated this.
@BogochIsaac Should CFIA not be testing domestic milk samples at random? Seems prudent
@BogochIsaac Just like what we saw with COVID and the lack of stockpiled masks - in spite of it being a recommendation from SARS. It’s like we never learn!
@BogochIsaac Irony: still past-tensing covid while warning about the next pandemic.
