3rd and 4th graders have been reviewing quarter notes, half notes, and repeat signs. Each student was able to clap these rhythms with their homemade rhythm instruments. Bravo, Everyone!

Welcome to the Music Clubhouse. I, Ms. Booth, am doing music remotely from my treehouse. These are my friends. Sydney the sloth, Jazz the owl, and George the bulldog. They're going to help me bring fun and educational music classes to all three Rockland Elementary Schools!

Third grade music students playing high, middle, and low pitches on a xylophone. I loved the games that were invented on the spot. Best part was noticing how everyone was able to "tune into" and tell the difference between high, middle, and low notes!
Jefferson students explored the violin and identified 6 different parts. The string family is the first stop in our study of musical instruments for the students who have extra music class this semester.
Ms. Booth started music classes at Jefferson and Esten with a fanfare. Students followed a listening map of Richard Strauss' Zarathustra; aka the theme song for "2001 A Space Oddesey".....we loved the timpanis and brass instruments!
