While listening to Never Take Friendship Personal, I noticed it had at least two songs that ended in fadeouts. I hadn't heard many songs with fadeouts recently, and I wasn't expecting them on an Anberlin album! (Though today was, for the most part, the first time I heard them.)

Of the metal albums I recently listened to at least two songs from for this contest, The Hammering Process seems so far to be the most likely for me to go back to. (I listened to the first two tracks so far, and then listened to and voted for Pruning of the Lower Limbs.)

Apple Music categorized Waking Giants as "pop", so my expectations were a long way off when I started listening to it! This and the other two most recent metal albums in this contest also made me realize which types of harsh vocals I'm the most/least willing to listen to.

Fangs! just wound up at #8 on my rankings of favorite CCM/CCM-adjacent albums by my usual song rating system, so I guess that means it should win my vote. (I like The World As Best I Remember It Volume 1, as well, though not as much as I liked Never Picture Perfect.)

I'm wondering whether the new mixes of Free as a Bird and Real Love will use the same technology as Now and Then did to better separate John Lennon's vocals from the other parts of the tape recording, or if they'll leave them more similar to the originals.
