When I'm trying to help founders find new startup ideas, I usually start by trying to figure out what's unusual about them. What do they know or care about that few other people do? There's usually something, and it often leads to an idea.
I don't know what I'm doing. I'm just trying it out and seeing what works. It's like building a snowman: You have an idea, but you'll end up with something different.

That key didn't work, so I deleted it and tried again. Nothing. I read all the troubleshooting docs. Nothing seemed to work, even though the ssh key itself was valid. Finally figured it out after about half an hour. I had added "signing keys" rather than "authentication keys."
Today I'm at home with my flu-stricken daughter. 3 years ago, this would have automatically meant a full day off. In the age of WFH, this means guilt and trying to keep up with the inbox. Nah, signing out. Work will always be there, but the time with loved ones won't.
