#BurtonFD toured the solar farm on Parker Dr in @bftcountysc & received training on how to handle emergencies at the location. That is a lot of electricity, so a full understanding of how things work is critical for safe & efficient emergency services to that community.

This weekend #BurtonFD, Beaufort/Port Royal FD, @bcsopio joined @VadenofBeaufort & Beaufort Walmart for a "Fill the Tank" school supply drive. Our generous citizens filled the tank with over $5,000 worth of needed school supplies that will be distributed to @BeaufortSchools.

This weekend #BurtonFD responded to two house fires caused by unattended cooking. Please ensure you have an ABC dry chemical home fire extinguisher less than 5yrs old mounted by an exit near the kitchen; not stored under the kitchen sink most likely next to the burning stove.
