Good morning everychin. Let’s make sure we are all cool as furry cucumbers today. Air conditioning on …. plenty of water freely available …. we could even share the aircon with the humans because they might melt too.

Peanut is one of our oldies - she celebrated her 17th birthday yesterday. She says a full tummy of healthy food is the key to old age …. oh, and sleeping! Lots of sleeping. 🙃

#DidYouKnow when a chinchillas is stressed it will release a clump of fur, this is called a ‘fur slip’. Developed in the wild, this defence mechanism helped them escape from the mouth of a predator.

It’s that time of year again...... please please make sure your furries are kept safe from the whizzes and bangs of the fireworks - radio on louder this evening here and every chin seems fine so far - they will be kept an eye on regularly until the banging stops!!
