this guy claims that a js library for browsers can "outperform ffmpeg" because it says it's "implemented from scratch" (which means it doesn't depend on external libraries) not realizing that it's using the browsers' own apis and ACTUALLY INTERFACING with ffmpeg. jfc.

Ring 0 is a highly-privileged state on CPUs. Negative Ring Levels have even *higher* privilege. You just haven’t heard of them. For X86, Ring -1 is Hardware Virtualization, Ring -2 is System Management Mode, Ring -3 is Intel ME / AMD PSP. Arm get's even weirder:
Apps are slower than they were 10 years ago. They use more memory. They crash more often. And they still can't load basic data without spinning loaders. What did we gain? A virtual DOM and 5 layers of abstraction. What did we lose? Performance, simplicity, and elegance.
Is software really getting better? We write more code than ever. We have better tools than ever. And somehow… apps still feel slower, buggier, and heavier. More complexity ≠ better software. Less is still more. But no one gets promoted for simplicity.
Unpopular opinion: Side projects will teach you more than certifications ever will. Build something. Break it. Repeat.

I don't know how many times I need to say this: LLMs are literally trained to be Bullshitting Engines. They cannot reason; they don't "understand" anything. All they do is give an answer that is highly probably to _sound_ correct, not actually _be_ correct (i.e. bullshitting).
