May is National Water Safety Month! Teach kids with autism lifesaving water skills early, and keep practicing them together. Use visuals and model each skill to help kids stay safe around water.
This week students listened the the silly story Mrs. Popish’s Pickles and learned all about cucumbers. Students participated using switches and their devices to answer comprehension questions and questions about their “likes” and “dislikes”. #growingtogethergreenhouse

Kicked off classes this week with the Bad Apple for National Apple Day. Students learned about the life cycle of apples, helped with a variety of plant care needs, composted, harvested remaining veggies from the school garden, and helped save marigold seeds from this season.
Heads of cabbage are looking good! Students helped plant these last fall and they are finally rockin’ and rollin’. They are the Sapporo Giant variety and can reach 44 lbs per head in optimal conditions. Wowza! #growingtogethergreenhouse #growingtogethergarden
