I still can't believe my #ActuallyAutistic self, who hates change and uncertainty really moved 3,340 miles away from home with zero plans 5 years ago today. 🇺🇸🛫🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Half a decade in Cymru. How did that happen? It has to be the biggest fluke ever.

Getting into Cardiff University calls for some celebrations. * Fun fact I've wanted to move to Wales since our last family visit when I was 10. I moved at 22. So this whisky is a lil easter egg in its own right too ☺ *

Y'all I went from failing out of university with barely a 1.2 GPA to getting into the top-ranked uni in the country after a 5-year gap that included an international move. Don't you dare let anyone sell you short of what you're worth.

I just learned that bioluminescent plankton was recorded in 350 BC by Aristotle, who referred to the phenomenon as ‘cold light’. I wonder what the Iron Age folks we study thought of things like this. What stories did they tell about it, did they stay up to watch like we do? ✨
