This Saturday, we completed the presentation of our CanSat satellite. We got the second place in Luxembourg and are very proud of what we have achieved! This experience will remain unforgettable. Thank you @esero_lu and @MarcZimer !

Today we’ve been preparing ourselves for the launch at Elsenborn in Belgium. Unfortunately the weather is a little bit rainy but we will give it a try in a few hours.

On Thursday, we did a little experiment to test the resistance of our parachute and its reactions to the wind. This way, we were able to determine if it would resist the fall in the weeks to come.

We finally tested our new antenna! We spaced the satellite and the antenna at 800 m! Despite the distance, the antenna picked up the waves successfully! Indeed, these tests were necessary to ensure that when the satellite will parachute, the antenna pick up its data on the ground

This Saturday, we finally had the opportunity to test our CanSat! This allowed us to see where the weak points and strong points were lying in the constitution of our small satellite. In addition we had a great time and we were lucky to be followed by the sun! #esa #cansat #llis

We have finished building the antenna and here is a photo of the CAD which includes platinum plates, sensors and the device responsible for emitting waves to the antenna.

Lately we've been concentrating on the can structure and practicing our soldering skills. For some of us it was a new discovery and for others less. Nevertheless we were able to help each other and we spent a great time together! #teamwork #esa #esero #cansatluxembourg #cansat

Today we have started to work with Arduino and to familiarize ourselves with this program. We also cobbled together a paper can. It helped us imagine the size where we will be able put all the instruments we need to measure different things in the air once the can is launched.
