@CanadianPolling Is the whole “you will own nothing and be happy” phrase still considered a conspiracy theory?
@CanadianPolling The homeownership rate in Canada is 67%. Therefore, the overall "disagree" stat should be at a baseline 67%, no? Add some optimistic non-homeowners, and "disagree" ought to be 70-80%. And yet, the poll is almost the inverse of this. Am I missing something here?
Sad, and entirely government’s fault. Reckless monetary policy and insane deficit spending have debased the currency quite badly, and mass immigration has caused demand shock in real estate. This is almost entirely Justin Trudeau’s fault, and it will take years and years to fix, if it even can be fixed.
@CanadianPolling Do they mean home or house? I see a single detached house when the term home is used while perhaps someone else sees a condo.
@CanadianPolling @kinsellawarren Home ownership rate in Canada is 66.5%. Something wrong with this poll.
@CanadianPolling We own one and it gets harder to keep it!
@CanadianPolling I haven’t given up, but it’s impossible under today’s current govt policies!
@CanadianPolling @yuanyi_z It's surprising that so many people who already own a home have given up on owning one. In 2021 (latest data on Statistics Canada), the home ownership rate of 30-34 years olds was over 50%. 35-39 year-olds was over 60% and higher still as you went up, www150.statcan.gc.ca/n1/daily-quoti…
@CanadianPolling Don't give up kids! Let's get rid of Trudeau together and then work on rebuilding Canada to how it was before he destroyed it, and your futures.
