Dr Mark Cruickshank delivered a great talk on new targets for leukaemia and attracted many audiences both in-person and online for our first Thursday talk from our Cancer Research Cluster.

This Friday (November 18th) we will have two speakers from clinical cancer research: Prof Michael Millward will talk about his recent progress on clinical lung cancer research and oncologist Dr Louisa Lo will discuss about her recent PhD study on breast cancer. Hope see you all.

It has been a year since we launched our Cancer Research Cluster and we have already had over 20 fantastic speakers from both basic and clinical cancer research and also from grant support and consumers.

Our monthly gathering at 3 pm tomorrow will be in a mixed format: in-person at M block G.18 and on Teams. Prof George Yeoh and Dr Evenda Dench will present. Hope to see you all there!

Although COVID affects the in-person gatherings and speakers, we were still having a great talk delivered by A/Prof Evan Ingley regarding his research on cell signalling in sarcoma and lots of great discussions online and offline. See you at next gatherings.

We had a great start for our Cancer Research Cluster last Friday! Thank you all for showing up in our 1st Cluster gathering and also thanks for your great support for our Cluster last Friday. Out of total 78 Cluster members so far, 50 ordered the tickets and 35 showed up.
