According to @theIPCinfo's own metrics, famine is classified when daily deaths due to starvation exceed 2 per 10,000 people. 420 people in Gaza (est. pop. 2.1 million) have to be dying of starvation daily for there to be a famine. Even Hamas isn't claiming anywhere near that.
