Is Bitcoin ready for the quantum era? Read our report at: chaincode.com/bitcoin-post-q… @ClaraShik & @ozdeadman explore the threats posed by cryptographically relevant quantum computers (CRQCs) and outline a strategic path forward. Here are the key takeaways: 🧵👇
Experts project CRQCs to emerge by 2030–2035, so the report proposes a dual-track strategy to ensure preparedness: • A minimal contingency path (~2 years) for rapid response to unexpected breakthroughs • A comprehensive path (~7 years) to develop & refine optimal solutions
"If ECC is broken by CRQC, the implications extend far beyond Bitcoin - most internet cryptosystems would be vulnerable" The description of the report is wrong, it is saying with implicity that "ECC is as quantum-strong as all others or better". Actually, ECC256 is the most ONLY-ONE quantum-vulnerable general algorithm. x.com/r8raq/status/1…
@ChaincodeLabs @ClaraShik @ozdeadman Bitcoin may not be ready for the quantum era but Cellframe is While others assess the threat, @cellframenet is already built with post-quantum cryptography at its core. $CELL A Layer-1 designed for the age of quantum computers, not threatened by it. #Cellframe #QuantumSecure
@ChaincodeLabs @ClaraShik @ozdeadman $CELL @cellframenet is the solution to #BTC !
@ChaincodeLabs @n1ckler @ClaraShik @ozdeadman Bitcoin isn’t ready for the quantum era and time is running out. @cellframenet offers a quantum-safe foundation with post-quantum cryptography, modular design, and $CELL high-performance code built in C. While Bitcoin faces risk, Cellframe builds the future-proof path forward.
@ChaincodeLabs @ClaraShik @ozdeadman The 2 year contingency is already at risk. x.com/grok/status/19…

@ChaincodeLabs @n1ckler @ClaraShik @ozdeadman Is Bitcoin ready for quantum disruption? 🔓 Chaincode Labs explores the threat of CRQCs—cryptographically relevant quantum computers. While most of crypto is unprepared, @cellframenet $CELL is already post-quantum ready. Built for what’s next, not what’s now.
@ChaincodeLabs @ClaraShik @ozdeadman All I know is we haven't unlocked the real utility of blockchain. $QANX saw how we do that, and made sure that utility will be post quantum secure
The quantum era poses significant challenges for Bitcoin, particularly in terms of security. It's crucial to explore advancements in quantum resistance to ensure the network's resilience. The report you shared seems like a valuable resource for understanding these developments.
@ChaincodeLabs @ClaraShik @ozdeadman @dotkrueger You need to read this
@ChaincodeLabs @ClaraShik @ozdeadman Should vulnerable coins be burnt or allowed to be stolen? Really? Is this a real question? No __vulnerable__ coins should be allowed to be stolen. If anyone needs explanation for this they do not deserve to be in #bitcoin space.
@ChaincodeLabs @renepickhardt @ClaraShik @ozdeadman Important convo but while BTC discusses preparation, @cellframenet is already built for the quantum era. $CELL is a Layer 0 with native post quantum encryption, not just planning but delivering the infrastructure Web3 needs now. The future isn’t optional. It’s @cellframenet
There is an important point on SHA-256 that's good to include in your paper; #Bitcoin addresses are truncated to 20 bytes from 32 bytes; Satoshi probably did this because of length extension attack concerns en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Length_ex… This truncation reduces the collision resistance of the hashing scheme though it is not as big a risk compared to quantum attacks on elliptic curves. #Ethereum followed the same (20 byte truncation) incorrectly even though it was using Keccak (SHA3) that isn't vulnerable to the length extension attack. @VitalikButerin has been proposing increasing address length to 32 bytes in below doc, to counter the risk. ethereum-magicians.org/t/increasing-a…
@ChaincodeLabs @BitMEXResearch @ClaraShik @ozdeadman The quantum threat to Bitcoin is real, but @cellframenet’s quantum resistant L1 is already future proofing blockchain security. $CELL leading the way.
