On Black Saturday Jesus' disciples hide in fear of possible persecution while mourning the death of Jesus. At the same time, the religious elite plot with Pilate in an attempt prevent the words of Jesus from coming true. Soldiers are assigned to the tomb and a seal is set.

On Good Friday the path of Jesus turns murderous. From a betrayer's kiss to hearing cries of "crucify Him", Jesus would be betrayed, mocked, rejected, beat beyond recognition, and forced to carry the implement of His own death to the hill where He would pay the ultimate price.

Jesus did not come to the earth to be sold, but to make a purchase with his own blood. Judas may have thought the thirty pieces of silver were for Christ, but sadly it was the price of his own soul. Look up Jesus words in Matthew 6:24 and think about it.

On Maundy Thursday Jesus celebrated the Passover meal. He challenges His disciples by issuing a series of commands focused on obedient love, displays servant-leadership, teaches of the Holy Spirit, and confronts His betrayer while establishing the sacrament of the Lord's Table.

On Spy Wednesday Jesus was anointed by a woman with oil resulting in a teachable moment for the disciples as Jesus once again references His death. 1 of the 12 fulfills prophecy as he decides to make a deal with the religious elite to betray Jesus for the price of an OT slave.

On Holy Tuesday, Jesus was challenged by the religious elite over subjects such as marriage in Heaven, paying taxes to Caesar, and the source of His authority. In the evening He would deliver the Olivet Discourse and issue His seven "woes" against the Pharisees. #HolyWeek
