I'm attending #CIKM2024 in Idaho, many international researchers are unable to present their work due to visa issues. Similarly, many international students in the US are unable to travel to other countries for conferences because of their expired 1-year US student visa.

@fchollet The lesson we took from working on Griffin (arxiv.org/pdf/2402.19427) is that current model performance is bottlenecked by the channel mixing component (ie the MLP), not the sequence mixing component (ie Attention vs recurrence)
