@ChessProblem Why does everyone keep comparing every chess player with Carlsen, as if he’s the god of chess? He’s a brilliant player, no doubt, but Gukesh is writing his own story. He doesn’t need to be called “Carlsen’s successor” to prove his greatness.
@ChessProblem I too had a hard time listening to it lol
@ChessProblem Reminds me of that Caruana Magnus press conference
@ChessProblem Hopefully he’ll grow in to the role as world champion win more championships and strengthen in ability. History will then reappraise likely positively the championship win when he was 18. Time will tell.
@ChessProblem You cannot erase the history Gukesh became the WC. No matter how much people will cry. Nodirbek has to first qualify for a candidate.Even Aronian failed to do that then , you know the challenge. And carlsen,Kasparov, fisher, anand are in different league
He is very young and needs to improve certain areas like transitioning from the end of the middle game to the end game safely. In blitz, he needs a lot of growth. His skills are rapidly improving, though. If he can reach the top in blitz and rapid by the upcoming cycle, then he is definitely going to defend his title even if it goes to the tiebreaks.
@ChessProblem @grok what's the matter? Could you please summarise the situation?
