Sensible for the UK Government to give itself till after the Budget to respond to our Progress Report. What matters is the pace and ambition of action. We’ve seen that on electricity already, but it needs to extend to heat pumps, EVs, industry, and tree planting.

Today is a positive step to delivering the Government’s clean power goal, especially after the last auction failed to bring forward offshore wind. But we need a lot more capacity, which means more action on planning and grids as well as ensuring the next auction is bigger still.
