@CityNewsTO I agree. Best before is not the same as Expiry date. We still use foods that are almost a year past the "best before" date

@CityNewsTO I bought bagels from Costco with a best before date dated for 5 days after I purchased. Right on the 5th day I go to eat one and they’re covered in mold. All my food goes bad soooo fast, it’s not the best before date that’s the problem

@CityNewsTO assume the food they throw away went to salvation army or food bank alike, throwing away does not mean the food got wasted
