A small walk from Chester Subway to the Logan Green Parkette this morning and we picked up a full bag of garbage. Thanks to those who stopped to chat while we were out. Our green spaces and planters definitely look happier now! #4cleantoronto

After not having gone out for a few days, I was amazed to see how much garbage was around. A walk through the parkettes and parking lots from Chester to Gough had us pick up a whole bag. Most shocking was how much @TimHortons garbage was on the sidewalk in front of of their cafe

A half bag of garbage later the playground is clean! Today the most common items were paper napkins, cigarette packs and take out cups/wrapper. The most odd was pipe insulation and a gas can. #4cleantoronto

Terrible discovery today when we opened the @nowtoronto box at Danforth and Hampton. Inside was layers and layers of mostly @TimHortons trash. Many people stared and some thanked us as we cleaned it out. I can’t help but wonder if these businesses need to step up! #4cleantoronto

Hi @TTChelps for my own information, can you help me understand the current TTC policy on keeping spaces clean of litter? Is it only the immediate TTC property such as subway stations and bus shelters? I’d be interested in reading any policy docs, which you can send via DM.
