overall, new horizons has the most features and best quality of life of any prior animal crossing game and i only wish people could see it from a different perspective. regardless, i have nothing but love for everyone in the community. stay safe. 🌿💕 (13/13)

in all other animal crossing games you had a primary player and up to 3 others who can live alongside them in the same town. they are simply sticking to the traditional formula of animal crossing. even new leaf had the restriction of mayor getting all the "cool" features. (11/13)

the final complaint i'd like to address is the one island per console. i understand people feel its a strange choice considering every other switch game is per profile. however, animal crossing has ALWAYS been a game where you share your town with other people this way. (10/13)

i hear people say mystery islands are worthless. besides villagers, these islands are primarily meant for extra resources. i find myself using nmt to fly to these islands quite often to get more wood/rocks to stockpile. the big fish, scorpions, etc are solely a bonus. (9/13)

villagers don't move out unknowingly, outdoor furnishing, editing town layouts, moving buildings, daily quests, more ways to earn money, crafting has changed the game tremendously, qr code/pro design improvements, better character customization, and more. (8/13)

nearly as much content as new horizons. if you really compare new horizons to the rest of the franchise, they've added SO much. they've given us just about ALL the quality of life changes the community ever asked for. (7/13)

another complaint i see a lot is that pocket camp supposedly has more content. how this comparison can be made, i don't understand. pocket camp has been out since late 2017. it launched with almost nothing. of course they've had time to update it but it still doesn't have (6/13)

i see many people complain about having to redo their towns in the future if they add more buildings, npcs, etc. once again, this is not nor has it ever been a game that was meant to be rushed like a lot of the community has been treating it. (5/13)

animal crossing has always been a game where you play a few short hours a day, it isn't meant to be treated like an mmo where you min/max everything and "win" as soon as possible. of course i am also guilty of playing for over 300 hours, but my town is not nearly complete. (4/13)

the complaint i hear paired with the above is that players have run out of things to do. you're telling me you have nothing left to do after sinking hundreds of hours into a game in 3 months when it was never meant to be played like that? (3/13)

the biggest problem i hear is the game just doesn't have enough content. yes, i will agree their choice of using a mobile game formula of releasing content over time is a bit strange for a full-priced game. it's a strategy meant to keep players coming back and playing. (2/13)

unpopular opinion from a game developer: animal crossing new horizons is by far the best animal crossing game. i've seen so many threads talking about why they think the game is bad, and i'd like to give my opinion on the topic. (cont.)
