The one thing I have seen in lot of people who go to gym. They apparently dont do anything else other than gym. Which can literally be disastrous. Going to gym shouldnt be an treated and felt as accomplishment. It should strictly be treated as duty towards once body.

Its much better to cold mail Engineering manager than the HR of the firm. Its kind of a hack to get the interviewes faster, just make sure your resume standout thats it. :)
