@CodeRed_dev Indie devs need to start small. No smaller than that. Good. Now put it on steam and get 5 sales.
@CodeRed_dev new devs trying to make an MMO is exactly what made me start thinking "wait...ok but what if we really did that"
@CodeRed_dev You forgot the PS1 graphics standalone horror game
@CodeRed_dev 😂 Making a platformer and it ain’t simple 🐟
@CodeRed_dev I switched from endless world to big island. It's much easier to fill a small container.
@CodeRed_dev I Actually First Did Snake, Then A Pokémon-like On Pygame
@CodeRed_dev I went from 2d RPG to FPS, now to 3D Racing Game. Which I'm making a lot of progress on lol.
@CodeRed_dev This week I'm building an authentication server for my MMO.
@CodeRed_dev I tried to make a complex city builder based in ancient Egypt with ancient aliens. Didn't go great. Ended up getting scoped down to a super shallow bad tower defense.
@CodeRed_dev I would add: "Metroidvania" "Farming" "Roguelike"
@CodeRed_dev After I finish my simplen't platformer, I will aim for a trading sim. I guess I fell off the stairs. 😅
@CodeRed_dev Biggest problem with all of these after the simple platformer is the sheer amount of content one needs to make. 3D artwork isn't super difficult to make, but it's time consuming, even if you're good.
@CodeRed_dev My first ever project was an attempt to make an inspired @Subnautica game, I've done it on paper for 6 months, I liked it very much & decided it's too big for me a solo developer, so I set it as my goal when I make my own game dev studio..
@CodeRed_dev Open would immersive sim for me, not a fan of mmos
@CodeRed_dev I’m on game 3 and I’m in the walking simulator stage still 😂
@CodeRed_dev just realized that i actually made half of these types of projects
