Gameplay of "Ridge Racer," an i-mode port of the homonymous arcade game. It was preserved this past September. For a 2005 keitai game, it's graphically impressive! It runs too fast in the DoJa SDK emulator, so it's likely easier to play on original hardware.

Hey everyone! Sorry for the lack of updates. I'm currently deciding between pre-baked ambient lighting, or dynamically adjustable ambient lighting. Here's the latter - as you can see, it'd be ideal for day-night cycles, but... that wasn't actually part of the original plan 😅

So, this is the method I use to create courses directly in GameMaker, without modelling them in 3d modelling software. It's incredibly simple, and I can iterate very quickly by tweaking the path's shape. The code for this is about 25 lines.

Here's a cheat code for the Saturn version of DOOM that I think has gone unnoticed since 1997. Pause the game and press: X, Right, B, Y, X, Right, B, Y The walls will become semi-transparent. See the before/after pictures below!
