One of the main talking points in the McLaurin contract saga was “they shouldn’t pay him for what he’s done in the past.” So they went ahead and gave him a deal that pays him what he wants, IF he repeats what he’s done in the past. He also gets a fat signing bonus. Win-win.

I think it’s interesting that they kept the WR’s and DL shorter than usual with them being the two spots with the most depth questions. Makes me think there will be some outside pickups.

Although it’s looking like Brooks is still a possibility for WR6. A number of notable names have been let go around the league: Hunter Renfrow Marquez Valdes-Scantling Mecole Hardman KJ Hamler Something to keep an eye on.

Hard to be super upset about preseason scores, especially when your 30 most important guys didn’t dress for 2 of them. Now had the starters played and they preformed that way? I still wouldn’t care.

Brian Robinson, solid player, served a good purpose in his three years here. He’s better suited as a #2. SF is a good spot for him. Hard for running backs to struggle in that system. A 6th in return is good when you consider he would’ve been cut otherwise.

One team in 2024 (Falcons) kept only 5 wide receivers on their initial 53-man roster. It’s very uncommon in today’s game to keep less than 6. I think Washington is more likely to keep 7 than 5. But my guess is 6.
